Rathaus-Weg, Ressourcen und Early Game

What do I need to upgrade City Hall to 25?

  • Wall and Trading Post both at level 24.
  • Roughly 82M food, 82M wood and 36M stone, plus 1 Master's Blueprint.
  • The base build time is around 126 days, so you will lean heavily on speedups, alliance help and building speed buffs.

CH25 is what opens Tier 5 troops, so it is the big milestone most players are aiming for.

What's the CH upgrade path, which buildings block each City Hall level?

Each City Hall level needs the Wall at the previous level plus one rotating building. From CH16 the pattern runs like this:

  • CH16: Academy 15
  • CH17: Hospital 16
  • CH18: Storehouse 17
  • CH19: Stable 18
  • CH20: Alliance Center 19
  • CH21: Academy 20
  • CH22: Hospital 21
  • CH23: Storehouse 22
  • CH24: Siege Workshop 23
  • CH25: Trading Post 24

Those buildings have their own prereqs too, so tap the CH upgrade button to see the full chain.

What does each big City Hall level unlock?

  • CH16: another gold mine and access to Tier 3 troops.
  • CH17: 4th march queue.
  • CH21: Tier 4 troops.
  • CH22: 5th march queue.
  • CH25: Tier 5 troops.

City Hall also caps every other building, so nothing in your city can go above its level.

Should I upgrade every building or rush City Hall?

Rush City Hall. Only upgrade the buildings that are actually prerequisites for the next CH level, plus the Academy to keep research going. Upgrading everything evenly wastes resources and builder time that should go into the CH chain. Leave non-essential buildings for later when you have spare builder time.

How do I get a permanent second builder?

Reach VIP 6. That permanently unlocks the second builder queue. Before then you can use temporary builder recruitment items you get from early rewards. Daily login VIP points grow each day you log in without missing a streak, and early gems are often best spent pushing toward VIP 6.

What should a new player focus on in the first few weeks?

  • Join an active alliance right away for helps, territory and rallies.
  • Keep both builders working on the City Hall chain.
  • Keep the Academy researching non-stop, economy techs first.
  • Get to VIP 6.
  • Build one main march and level a couple of gathering commanders, not everyone.
  • Spend action points on barbarians and join fort rallies.

Idle marches should always be out gathering.

Which civilization is best for city growth as a beginner?

China is the usual pick for development because it has a building speed bonus and starts with Sun Tzu, who is a solid early commander. If you care more about early fighting, other civs with training or combat bonuses make sense. You can switch later with a civilization change item and you keep your starting commander.

Should I use universal speedups on City Hall or save them for research?

Players split on this. Many save universals for long Academy research, especially toward Tier 5, and use building speedups on construction. Others say the final CH push to 25 is the one place worth dumping universals because it unlocks so much. A reasonable approach: use building speedups first on CH, then decide on universals based on whether research or CH is your current bottleneck. Never burn universals on healing.

How does alliance help work?

Each help cuts the remaining timer by 1% or a flat amount of time, whichever is bigger. The number of helps you can receive goes up with your Alliance Center level, and an alliance tech raises the flat amount per help. Helps work on building, research and healing, but not on troop training or gathering. Always ask for help before using speedups on a long timer.

Are farms and lumber mills worth upgrading, or is gathering better?

Gathering is where most of your resources come from once you get going. Resource buildings still give steady income and their resources are safe from being stolen, but they cap out after several hours, so collect at least twice a day. Upgrade them when they fall on the CH path or when you have spare builder time, but don't prioritise them over the CH chain.

How do I gather resources faster?

  • Gather inside your alliance territory for a speed bonus.
  • Use gathering commanders with points in the gathering talent tree, and put a different gathering commander as primary on each march since only the primary's talents apply.
  • Research the gathering techs in the Academy.
  • Send a full march so you fill the node in one trip.
  • Use gathering boosts or runes during events.

Focus on whichever resource is blocking your next upgrade.

Who are the best gathering commanders?

Common picks are Constance, Joan of Arc, Gaius Marius, Sarka, Centurion and Cleopatra (strong on stone). Low rarity gatherers are cheap to level and reach the key gathering talents quickly, so they are a good start for free players. Pepin is a strong legendary gatherer but usually only worth it for a dedicated farm account.

How do I farm gems from gem deposits?

  • First research the gem gathering tech in the Academy economy tree.
  • Look for gem deposits on the map by eye, they don't show up in the search tool.
  • Send a march with more capacity than one deposit needs so it can chain several nodes before coming home.
  • Fast troops like Tier 1 siege help on long runs.

Gems can't be sent from a farm account, so gem farming has to happen on your main.

Is gem farming worth it?

It depends on your kingdom. In a quiet kingdom with free deposits it is a nice daily top-up for players with time, and active farmers report hundreds to a couple of thousand gems a day. In crowded kingdoms nodes get taken fast and it often isn't worth the effort. The research to unlock gem gathering can also cost more than you get back early on.

Where else do free players get gems?

  • City Hall level rewards and era/main quests.
  • Daily objectives chest.
  • Events, KvK first occupations and compensation mails.
  • Barbarians and barbarian forts.
  • Alliance gifts when members buy packs.
  • Binding your account and following the game's socials.

Spend them on VIP early and save the rest for More Than Gems so your spending also earns event rewards.

How do action points work and what should I spend them on?

AP regenerates over time up to a cap, and once you hit the cap you stop regenerating, so never sit at full. The main use is hunting barbarians for commander XP, materials and loot. Chaining barbarians without returning to the city lowers the AP cost of each hit, and Peacekeeping commanders cut it further. Save AP potions for high value moments like Marauders or KvK events instead of routine hunting.

How do I get more action points?

  • Natural regeneration, boosted by VIP level and some civ or rune bonuses.
  • AP potions from alliance gifts, events and fort rewards.
  • The VIP shop sells some AP items each week.
  • You can also buy AP with gems, with the price rising after each purchase.

Spend natural AP first and treat potions as a reserve.

How do I get Books of Covenant for the Castle?

Barbarian forts are the main free source, so join every alliance fort rally you can. You also get some from alliance gifts and occasionally from events or shops. The Castle gets very expensive at high levels, so start farming books early rather than when the Castle becomes your bottleneck.

Is a farm account worth it?

For resources, yes, if you have the time. A farm account gathers and sends resources to your main through the Trading Post, which helps a lot with the huge CH23 to CH25 costs. Transfers carry a tax and are limited, and gems can't be sent, so it's purely a resource helper. Many farm accounts stop around CH17 since more levels add little for gathering.

What are the most common early mistakes?

  • Upgrading every building evenly instead of following the CH chain.
  • Leveling too many commanders.
  • Letting AP sit at the cap.
  • Opening every resource pack right away instead of saving them until needed.
  • Burning AP potions or universal speedups on low value things.
  • Skipping fort rallies and gathering far from alliance territory.
  • Ignoring VIP 6.

How do I cut down the long CH24 and CH25 timers?

  • Stack building speed from research, VIP, civ and any building speed buff or title from the kingdom.
  • Start the upgrade right before a big building event so the speedups you use also count for rewards.
  • Max out alliance helps and use building speedups saved over months.
  • Check for runes or buffs that reduce building cost or time before starting.

What is the Castle (Lâu đài) and how do I upgrade it?

The Castle is a building inside your own city, not the City Hall and not a KvK map structure. It raises your rally capacity and is needed before the Academy can reach 25 for T5.

  • It upgrades with Books of Covenant instead of resources.
  • Get the books from rallying Barbarian Forts (the main free source, more damage share gives more books), alliance gifts, events and VIP chests. You can also buy them with gems.
  • Costs climb steeply. The last step, 24 to 25, alone takes 5,000 books, and the full 1 to 25 path is about 20,000.
  • To reach level 25 your other buildings must be at 25 as well.

If you actually meant the City Hall, its upgrades need the listed buildings at the required level plus resources.

How do I find another governor or player, and where is my own Governor ID?

  • Finding a player in the game: tap your avatar (top left), open Settings and choose the governor search option. Type the governor's name. Names are unique, so the exact name finds them. The result opens their profile with power, alliance and stats, and from there you can send mail or a chat message.
  • Your own Governor ID: tap your avatar. The ID number is shown on your Governor Profile under your name. Share that number when support or your alliance asks for it.
  • You can also reach players through your alliance member list, the Rankings, or by tapping their city on the map.
  • To see a governor's history, migrations and stats over time, RokHub Pro scouting covers every governor in the kingdoms RokHub scans and in the top rankings of the kingdoms it reads.

What is the best way to spend gems as F2P? (gem priority, where to use gems)

In order, most F2P players should put gems into:

  • VIP points until VIP 10 at least. It is a permanent buff stack plus a daily legendary sculpture chest, nothing else pays back for so long.
  • Books of Covenant for the Castle, since the Castle gates T5 and alliance help count. Buy only what you are short of.
  • Event value: events that reward gem spending (such as More Than Gems) let the same gems buy VIP or books and pay extra rewards on top, so time big purchases for them.
  • Discounted speedups when you are close to a milestone such as Academy or City Hall 25.

Keep a reserve of a few thousand gems for an emergency shield or teleport.

What should I never spend gems on? (gem waste, worst gem uses)

The common gem traps:

  • Finishing buildings or research instantly with gems. The gem cost per minute is far worse than speedups.
  • Buying resources at full price. Gather, farm barbarians or use a farm account instead.
  • Gold keys or Tavern chests at full price. Legendary drops are rare and you get keys free from events.
  • Most VIP shop and Mysterious Merchant items priced in gems unless heavily discounted.
  • Refreshing shops or buying a random teleport just to reposition.

The rule of thumb: gems should buy something permanent (VIP, Castle progress) or be spent during an event that pays you back for spending them.

Should I use my speedups now or save them for events? (hoard speedups, speedup events)

Early on, use them. Until about City Hall 22 the main bottleneck is builder and research time, and growing faster unlocks better gathering, troops and events sooner.
Later, save most of them:

  • Many events score speedup use (training, research and building stages of power and governor events), so the same minutes earn extra rewards on those days.
  • Big jumps such as City Hall 25 or T5 research are cheaper to finish during an event that pays for them.
  • Keep healing and training speedups for KvK.

Always use alliance help first, and on buildings let the free finish button take the last few minutes instead of a speedup.

How does the Tavern work? (silver keys, gold keys, free chests, silver chest, golden chest)

The Tavern has two chests:

  • Silver chest: opens with Silver Keys, plus free opens every day. The number of free opens rises with Tavern level, from 3 at level 1 to 10 at level 25.
  • Golden chest: opens with Gold Keys, plus one free open on a timer that drops from 3 days at Tavern level 1 to 2 days at level 25.

Silver chests mostly give epic and elite sculptures, speedups and resources. Golden chests are the ones with a small chance at legendary commanders or sculptures.
Always use the free opens, they are why the Tavern is worth upgrading when it is not blocking City Hall. Do not buy keys with gems.

Is it better to save gold keys and open 10 at once? (batch open tavern, gold chest luck)

No. Opening ten at once gives the same odds as opening them one by one. A player test of about 400 gold keys found no difference between single and batch opening, the batch just feels luckier because several good drops appear on one screen.
The only reasons to hold keys are if an event that is running or coming soon scores Tavern openings, or if a commander you want is the featured pick in a Tavern event. Otherwise open them as they come so the sculptures start working for you.

How does Expedition work? (expedition mode, stars, daily expedition rewards)

Expedition is a permanent single-player battle mode with preset enemy marches. Each stage gives up to 3 stars: 1 for winning, more for meeting the listed conditions such as finishing fast or losing few units.

  • Losses are simulated, nothing dies and nothing goes to the hospital, so retry freely.
  • Your Expedition troop pool grows as you train troops in your city.
  • Early stages allow few marches, later ones up to 5.
  • First clears give one-time rewards, and daily Expedition rewards grow with how far you have pushed, so a stuck account loses free loot every day.

When stuck, upgrade commanders and skills, then come back. Clearing more stages also earns more currency for the Expedition store.

How much commander XP do I need, and how do tomes work? (Tome of Knowledge, level 60 XP, wasted xp)

Tomes of Knowledge come in 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 and 50,000 XP sizes. A legendary needs about 50.7 million XP from level 1 to 60, an epic about 42.2 million. More than half of that is levels 50 to 60, each of which costs a legendary 2.82 million.
The catch: a commander's level is capped by stars (each star raises the cap by 10, so 6 stars for level 60). Tome XP past the cap is wasted, so star up before you dump big tomes.
Use tomes on your main march leaders and gatherers. Let barbarian fights level secondary commanders for free.

What is the fastest way to level commanders? (commander XP, barbarians xp, level up fast)

Mix three sources:

  • Barbarians and barbarian forts: every kill gives commander XP to both commanders in the march, so use your daily action points with the commander you want to level as primary or secondary.
  • Tomes of Knowledge: from quests, events, chests, Expedition and the Mysterious Merchant.
  • Events that hand out tomes or XP.

Pair a weak commander with a strong one so the march still wins quickly. XP earned at the level cap is not lost: it is stored and applied when you raise the next star.

What peace shields are there and what breaks them? (bubble, shield break, war frenzy)

Peace Shields stop other governors attacking or scouting your city. Common sizes are 8 hours, 24 hours and 3 days, from the VIP store, the alliance shop, events and chests. New accounts start with a short beginner shield.
Things that break or block it:

  • Attacking or scouting another governor, or their buildings, drops your shield.
  • After you fight a governor your city gets War Frenzy for a while and you cannot put a shield up until it ends.
  • Fighting barbarians and gathering do not break it.

A shield protects only the city. Gatherers and armies outside can still be hit, so pull troops home before you go offline under threat.

When should I shield? (when to bubble, going offline, KvK shield)

Shield when you have something to lose and cannot react:

  • Going to sleep or offline with a lot of unprotected resources or troops in the city.
  • Someone stronger is scouting you or has just rallied you.
  • Your hospital is full, so any further loss would be dead troops.
  • In KvK when the enemy is pushing your zone and you are not fighting.

You do not need to shield every night as a low-power beginner with nothing on the field. Keep at least one 24-hour shield in your bag at all times, and pop it before the rally lands, not after.

How does the Beginner's Teleport work? (move kingdom as new player, change server, starter teleport)

The Beginner's Teleport (Beginner's Immigration) moves a new account to another kingdom for free, and it can only be used once.

  • It is removed when your City Hall reaches level 8 or your kingdom reaches the Eve of the Crusade for its first KvK, whichever comes first.
  • New characters only get it while their kingdom is in its Preparation Season, and new kingdoms cap how many governors arrive this way.
  • You must not be in an alliance, have no marches out and not be in battle.

Your city lands at a random spot. Use it early to escape a dead or hostile kingdom or to join friends.

What is the difference between Random, Territorial and Advanced Teleport? (targeted teleport, move city inside kingdom)

  • Random Teleport: drops your city on a random spot in your current zone. Cheap, but you can land next to someone dangerous.
  • Territorial Teleport: moves you onto your alliance's territory, even across zones without a pass. This is the one you use to join your alliance.
  • Advanced Teleport: you pick the exact spot in your zone, for KvK, joining a rally hub or getting out of trouble.

None of them move you to another kingdom. All need your troops home, no fight in progress, no War Frenzy and a clear landing spot. Get them from the alliance shop and events rather than gems.

How do I move to another kingdom after City Hall 8? (migrate, passports, passport pages, migration)

You need Passport Pages, and the number depends on your power. From RokHub's migration table:

  • Up to 10M power: 1 page
  • 20M: 3, 30M: 6, 50M: 20, 70M: 40, 100M: 70, above 100M: 75

Moving within your own KvK group is much cheaper at mid and high power.
Passport Pages come from the alliance shop (600,000 credits each) and packs. You also usually need to leave your alliance, have no marches out, stay under the target kingdom's power and resource limits, and the target must have migration open. Plan it in the window before a kingdom's KvK rules lock moves.

How do I send resources to another player? (rss trading, Trading Post tax, transport, feed main)

Use the Trading Post. You can only send to members of your own alliance.

  • All four resources can be sent.
  • Each trip loses a tax: about 35% at Trading Post level 1, dropping with every upgrade to around 10% near max level.
  • Upgrades also raise how much one trip carries.

To deliver a target amount, divide it by (1 minus tax) and round up. Example at 10% tax: to land 900k, send 1M.
This is why farm accounts upgrade the Trading Post before anything else after their City Hall basics.

How do I protect my resources from being farmed? (storehouse, rss raid, hide resources)

  • Storehouse: protects a fixed amount of each resource from plunder. Anything above that limit can be taken.
  • Resource items in your bag (the packs you get from events and chests) are safe. Open them only when you are about to spend.
  • Spend or send resources before going offline, or start a long upgrade or training so they are locked into the queue.
  • Shield when you are carrying a lot.

At high levels you will hold far more than the Storehouse protects, so the bag and the shield matter more than Storehouse level.

How does alliance territory help me? (alliance flags, gathering bonus territory, alliance resource center)

Being inside your alliance's territory gives you:

  • About 25% faster gathering on resource points inside the territory.
  • Access to the alliance resource center: troops gathering there cannot be attacked.
  • Cheaper safety: the alliance can see and react, and Territorial Teleports put you there across zones.
  • Territory resources partly feed the alliance storehouse, which funds more flags and fortresses.

Territory is built from the Center Fortress, then connected flags and extra alliance fortresses. Living outside it as a beginner makes you an easy farm, so move in with a Territorial Teleport.

What should I buy in the alliance shop? (individual credits, alliance store best items)

Individual alliance credits come mostly from helping and alliance activity. Good buys:

  • Teleports (Territorial and Advanced) so you never pay gems for them.
  • Peace Shields, keep a 24-hour one in your bag.
  • Passport Pages if you plan to migrate, they cost 600,000 credits each.
  • The Civilization Change item if you want to switch civ for free (it costs a lot of credits).

After that, speedups and resources are fine filler. Help every time you open the game, it is the cheapest credit source there is.

What is the Mysterious Merchant and what should I buy? (Courier Station, merchant, caravan)

The Mysterious Merchant visits your Courier Station once a day at 0:00 UTC, and can also appear while you hunt barbarians, train or build. She sells speedups, resources, tomes, star items and teleports, some for resources and some for gems. Resource production boosts are no longer sold: they were removed from the game in 1.1.09.
F2P rule: buy everything priced in resources that you actually use, especially speedups and tomes, since resources are the cheaper currency for you. Only pay gems for a big discount on speedups you were going to need anyway. Check the Courier Station every time the icon appears.

Which buildings are worth upgrading even when City Hall does not need them? (optional buildings, which buildings matter)

Worth upgrading beyond requirements:

  • Hospital: more capacity means fewer dead troops in KvK.
  • Trading Post: lower tax, essential if you run a farm account.
  • Tavern: more free silver chests and a faster free gold chest.
  • Scout Camp to level 11 early for the 3rd scout.
  • Storehouse if you get farmed while offline.
  • Academy, since research speed feeds everything.

Low priority: farms, lumber mills, quarries and goldmines produce little next to gathering, and extra walls or towers are only needed as City Hall prerequisites.

Should I gather in my own city zone or move? Which resource should I gather? (rss nodes, gather gold)

  • Gather the resource you are short of, but gold is usually the bottleneck from mid game on (T4 and T5 cost a lot of it), and it is the slowest node.
  • Use the highest level node your march can fill in one trip, partial loads waste march time.
  • Gather inside alliance territory for the bonus speed and safety, or at the alliance resource center where gatherers cannot be attacked.
  • Before KvK and on sleep cycles, send long marches to big nodes.

If your gatherers keep getting hit, move into territory with a Territorial Teleport instead of losing troops.

Where did my resource boost items and Deceptive Troops go? (gathering boost, production boost, 24h boost removed)

They were removed from the game in version 1.1.09 (30 June 2026) to cut down on daily clicking.

  • All Food, Wood, Stone and Gold production boosts (8 and 24 hours) were deleted from inventories. Each was converted into resources, based on the output of max-level production buildings.
  • Deceptive Troops (24 Hours) became Anti-Scouting Spyglass (24 Hours), one for one.
  • The Courier Station (Mysterious Merchant) and shops no longer sell them.
  • To compensate, VIP resource production buffs were raised, and daily quests that asked you to use a boost were swapped for a login quest and an alliance donation quest.

Enhanced gathering items still exist and can now be used up to 30 at a time.

How much resource production does VIP give now? (VIP production buff, farm output VIP)

Since version 1.1.09 (June 2026) the VIP production buff for Food, Wood, Stone and Gold is:

  • VIP 0: +5%
  • VIP 1: +10%
  • VIP 2: +15%
  • VIP 3: +20%
  • VIP 4: +28%
  • VIP 5: +37%
  • Above VIP 5: 25% higher than the old values for each level.

It was raised to replace the resource boost items that were removed in the same update. It boosts your city's production buildings, not gathering on the map.

What is queue management? (queue dashboard, see all queues at once)

Queue management is a dashboard added in version 1.1.01 that unlocks at City Hall 8. It shows construction, training, research, healing, scouting and alliance donations in one place and lets you start quick actions from there. You can turn it off in Settings.
It is only an overview: each training building still has its own queue, so seeing one list does not mean the whole city trains one troop type at a time.

How do I create an alliance, and what do R1 to R5 and officer titles mean? (start alliance, alliance ranks, R4 permissions)

You need City Hall 3 and the Alliance Center, then you can join or create one. Choose a name, tag and a clear description (language, activity, requirements) and a join setting:

  • Anyone Can Join: anyone meeting the requirements joins instantly.
  • Application Needed: an officer must approve.
  • Invitation Only: you invite players yourself.

Ranks: R5 is the leader (handing it over has its own transfer process), R4 are officers, R1 to R3 are regular members. Officer titles like War God or Advisor are honorary and do not grant permissions by themselves. Being R4 does not unlock every function either: check the Alliance Officer Permissions page, for example Building Management for flags.
Before you create one, be honest about whether you can manage it every day. Recruit for activity, not just power.

What is the difference between Alliance Credits and Individual Credits? (alliance shop currency, contribution)

They are separate:

  • Individual Credits: yours. You earn them by helping, donating to alliance technology and helping build alliance structures, and spend them in the Alliance Shop.
  • Alliance Credits: belong to the alliance. They pay for stocking the shop and building flags and fortresses. Leaving or joining an alliance does not change them for you.

You earn both at the same time when you help, donate or build. Early on Alliance Credits are tight, so leaders save them for technology, flags and forts; do not pester officers to stock lots of shop items.
Official advice for Individual Credits: prioritise Migration Permits and Special Talent Points style rare items over filler.

Can I farm alliance credits by building with one troop? (1 troop build, building credits, daily credit cap)

Yes, when your alliance allows it. A full march and a march of a single siege unit earn Individual Credits at the same rate while building an alliance structure, and there is a daily earning limit. More troops only finish the building faster.
So:

  • New territory or urgent builds: send a normal march so flags and fortresses go up fast.
  • Stable territory with a marked credit spot: send one siege unit, and recall it once you hit the daily limit.

Building alliance structures uses the alliance's shared resources, never your own.

What is the difference between alliance resource centers and alliance resource points? (Alliance Granary, Wood Lot, Stone Pit, Mother Lode, alliance farm)

  • Alliance Resource Centers (Alliance Granary, Alliance Wood Lot, Alliance Stone Pit, Alliance Mother Lode) are structures your alliance builds. Members send marches to gather Food, Wood, Stone or Gold there, with a gathering speed bonus. Once finished they can also hold more marches, so some alliances use them near flags as reinforcement points, and they do not disappear when nearby flags are removed.
  • Alliance resource points on the map (marked with a shield icon, such as Alliance Farms) only feed shared resources to the alliance when your territory covers them.

Gathering normal nodes inside your territory also adds to the alliance's resources; gathering outside territory does not.

Why can't I build an alliance flag or fortress? (cannot place flag, building management, flag across mountain)

Check four things:

  1. Permission: your rank needs Building Management on the Alliance Officer Permissions page. Being an officer is not enough by itself.
  2. Alliance resources: the alliance must have enough shared resources.
  3. Prerequisites: later fortresses (Alliance Fortress 1, 2 and so on) need a minimum member count and flag count.
  4. Placement: it must connect to active territory and not overlap buildings, cities or obstacles.

Mountains: you can often bridge one by placing a flag across a small gap in the territory on both sides, usually one small tile, sometimes two. Adjust the spot using the placement indicator instead of giving up.
Territory only counts while connected to active flags, so a destroyed flag can cut off land behind it.

How does gathering speed, troop load and extra resources work? (gathering math, do higher level nodes gather faster)

Three separate stats:

  • Gathering Speed: how fast you collect. Base Food rate is 126,000 per hour; +100% speed doubles it to 252,000.
  • Troop Load: how much the march can carry. More load lets one trip empty a node or chain to a second node, but it does not gather faster.
  • Extra resources: a bonus on what you bring home, for example +10% turns 100M into 110M.

Other facts:

  • Higher level nodes hold more but gather at the same speed as low ones.
  • Nodes inside alliance territory give +25% gathering speed.
  • Gathered resources are only added when the march gets home.
  • Research: Carriage raises load, Machinery raises gathering speed. Irrigation only raises your Farms' output, not gathering.

When do Stone and Gold unlock, and which resource should I stockpile early? (unlock gold, stone shortage)

Food and Wood are there from the start. Stone needs the Stone gathering technology in the Academy. Gold needs City Hall 11 plus the Gold gathering technology.
What to stockpile:

  • Stone: you barely need it at first, and nodes of the same level hold less Stone than Food or Wood, so gather and save it early for later building and especially Wall upgrades.
  • Gold: not used for buildings, so beginners skip it, then hit City Hall 16 and need about 30 million Gold for equipment plus military research. Save it ahead.

Rule: cover today's shortage first, then stock what the next stage needs. Production buildings keep producing offline but you must collect it.

What is the Conduct Score? (script ban, cheat penalty, conduct points)

The Conduct Score was added in version 1.1.07 (May 2026). Governors who use third-party tools such as scripts or cheats have their Conduct score lowered, and penalties kick in when the score drops below certain thresholds. It launched first in kingdoms that have entered Season of Conquest.
In short: auto-farming scripts and bots now carry a tracked penalty on your account, not just a one-off ban risk.

What alliance management tools are there? (alliance markers, teleport marker, quick check, alliance notes)

  • Alliance markers (1.1.01): officers tap an empty map spot to place attack, defense and other command markers, and teleport markers members can use to move to the front. Markers are only instructions: they do not reserve a spot or send troops, so check the teleport screen yourself.
  • Copy All for marker text and coalition markers (1.1.07): leaders, counselors and permitted officers of any alliance in the coalition can set them.
  • Quick Checks (1.1.07): a readiness check that pings all online members to confirm or decline. Unlocks once the kingdom is in Season 1.
  • Alliance Notes (1.1.07): leaders, counselors and permitted officers can add notes on members, visible to all members.
  • Alliance building dismantle (1.1.03): it now runs a countdown with mail and push notification, and the leader or counselor can cancel it before it ends.

How do I switch my civilization's buffs without changing civilization? (civilization buff switching, siege civ buff)

From City Hall 16 you can switch your civilization buffs on the switch civilization page, added in version 1.1.01. The same update added two new siege-focused civilization buffs to that buff switching page.
This is separate from a full civilization change (which still uses a Civilization Change item or gems). You get one free Civilization Change item by mail at City Hall 10.

Is there a Maya civilization? (Maya civ)

Yes. The Maya civilization was added in January 2025 with its own bonuses, architecture and special units. You switch to it like any civilization. The launch events gave Siyaj K'ak' (King's Trials) and the Epic Wak Chanil Ajaw (7 day Sign-In Spoils). Exact Maya bonuses are shown in the civilization screen.

  • When you get eligibility to move to a kingdom in another season, a 20,000 gem deposit is taken. It is refunded once you arrive. If eligibility expires and you have not moved, you lose it.

  • Power cap is 85 million (was 100 million).
  • With secondary password on, you must verify it for anything immigration related.

Can I buy Passport Pages every week? (Alliance Shop Weekly Limit)

Yes. Alliances with a member limit of 100 or more have a Weekly Limit section in the Alliance Shop. It restocks with Passport Pages every week without spending Alliance Credits, and you buy them with your Individual Credits. The stock is personal, so others buying does not reduce yours. Unbought pages pile up to a cap of 75. Governors on a Vacation Permit need fewer pages to migrate.

How much can a level 25 Trading Post send? (transport capacity)

A level 25 Trading Post carries 10,000,000 resources per transport since 1.0.90 (January 2025), up from 5,000,000. The trade tax still applies.

What does Nature's Gift do? (alliance tech resource points)

Nature's Gift is an alliance skill that spawns resource points for the alliance. Level 9 spawns level 7 points and level 10 spawns level 8 points (since 1.0.90). In the Lost Kingdom it instead raises Gathering Speed for all alliance members, wherever they are.

Do city themes still have debuffs? (city theme transmog)

In October 2024 the developers said they would remove debuffs from all current and future city themes. Transmog also got friendlier: transmogging theme A into theme B costs Little Brushes only the first time, and Integration themes can transmog to and from any unit type.

Can I go back to the old map? (remastered map, classic map)

Yes. The remastered map is on by default in all kingdoms since 1.0.92, and you can switch back to the classic map at any time. Many Season of Conquest stories have remastered versions chosen at registration, and Season 1 to 3 Lost Kingdoms use the remastered map by default.

Can I copy someone else's city layout? (Cityscape)

Yes. Cityscape (added 1.0.83) lets you upload your layout from the city editor or apply another governor's layout to your city.

How do I reserve a kingdom title? (title reservation, defender titles)

Tap the magnifying glass next to a defender title in the kingdom titles screen, pick a time slot and apply. If the king or a ruler approves (or auto-approval is on), the title is granted for your slot. Kings can set which titles are open, the duration, and a City Hall level requirement. You can give up a title from City Management.

What do the Kingdom Bugle and Lost Kingdom Bugle do?

A Kingdom Bugle posts a statement pinned to the top of Kingdom chat. A Lost Kingdom Bugle does the same in Lost Kingdom chat, from Season 1 on. Turn off Bugle VFX in settings to hide the effects.

Where does my city go when it burns down to 0 wall durability? (zeroed, city burned, auto teleport)

When your Wall Durability hits 0 your city is teleported automatically:

  • In your home kingdom: to a random spot in one of the outer provinces.
  • In the Lost Kingdom (KvK): to your camp's or kingdom's starting province.

When you return home from the Lost Kingdom, the game tries to place you in Province I, the top left outermost province of your kingdom.
So after a burn, check where you landed before going offline and use a Territorial Teleport to get back to your alliance's territory, then shield.

Do I lose resources when I migrate to another kingdom? (immigration resources, storehouse limit when migrating)

Yes, anything above your Storehouse's protected amount is lost when you immigrate. Only resources up to the protected capacity come with you.
Before you move:

  • Spend extra resources on upgrades, research or training first, or send them to a friend who is staying.
  • Keep resources in your bag as resource items where possible, and do not open packs before moving.
  • Check your Storehouse protected amount for each resource type.

How does city theme transmog work? (change city skin look, transmog city theme)

Transmog lets you give one city theme the look of another while keeping the original theme's bonuses. So you can run the theme with the stats you want and still show the skin you like.
Rules:

  • Both themes must be the same quality and the same unit type.
  • You can only transmog themes you own permanently, not timed ones.
  • It costs special transmog items, which come from various events.

What does the King's Banish skill do? (banish rogue, king skill)

Banish is a King Skill that teleports a governor's city in your kingdom to a random spot in the upper left province of the kingdom. If that province is full, they go to the next outermost province.
It moves the problem player away from your alliance territory, it does not remove them from the kingdom. Kings usually use it on rogues who burn or farm members inside home territory.

How do the alliance passlist and blocklist work? (auto accept, ban from alliance, blocklist)

  • Passlist: governors on it are accepted automatically when they apply. If the alliance is full, their applications wait in a queue and they join in order as soon as a slot opens. Up to 60 governors.
  • Blocklist: governors on it cannot apply to your alliance. Entries drop off automatically after 180 days. Leaders can search by name or Governor ID to add someone directly.
  • Who can manage them: the alliance leader and the Counselor (Counselors can also appoint and remove officer titles).

Adding or removing someone from the passlist sends them a mail.

Can I send resources that are protected by my Storehouse? (storehouse protected resources, transport limit)

No. Resources protected by your Storehouse cannot be transported through the Trading Post. Only the unprotected part of your stock can be sent.
This matters for farm accounts: a big Storehouse keeps resources safe from raids, but that same protected amount is not available to send to your main. Keep the farm's gathered resources above the protected amount when you plan to ship them.
