Dreams of the Apkallu

The entire length of this tower is glazed in alternating patterns. Its vibrant blue bricks are said to be made from precious lapis lazuli. Its foundations run deep, and are decorated with yet more magnificent colors. Though buffeted by constant winds, the flames in its torches never seem to go out. At its top sits a statue of some ancient demigod, answering the ravages of time with invariable indifference, and battling darkness with pulsating flames. All who pass by cannot help but be struck by a sense of eternity.
