Jade Plume Palace

In the forest depths, emerald feathers flock towards the rising sun; towards a divine call through the clouds, and a sacred flame over the city.
It is said that when the sun sets among the mountain peaks, and when the records of old turn a new page, the feathered serpent would finally wake from its temple up high; with golden eyes and plumes of jade, it circled tight across the towering altar, a herald of sacred flames that now danced among the stone steps and through the shut gates. The dark night was no more, as rain, grain, and life took shape.
And so the priests climbed the long steps towards the heavens, as they listened for divine whispers in the winds and chronicled the times under the stars. Whether it be the rise and fall of cities, the endless passing of seasons, or the glorious sagas of kings, all was etched into eternal stone. As long as emerald feathers were seen among the clouds, the light of civilization would never fade.
