Mighty Forest

Spring's rejuvenation is in the sprouting of trees, the singing of birds, the glinting of light on the water that flows where a frozen lake once lay; the forest itself dances back to life. Weeds are cleared from the flowerbeds, flower buds fill the air with sweetness. Melting snow drips from the eaves as the sun's warmth filters through a canopy of green. Colorful lanterns hang from branches as people unearth the mead that has been stored all winter, ready to toast to the arrival of the new season.
