Sands of Time

Time stood still within a prison of glass and gold.

The ruins of stout city walls, the decaying palace and its wind-worn statues - mere remnants of a dynasty that time forgot. Year after year, the yellow sands blew past, depositing layer after layer upon this history until it was well and truly buried.

It was not until the divine bird passed through here that, with a single beat of its wings, time began to flow again. The hourglass was upturned by the hand of fate, starting the count anew. The tiled dome regained its luster, golden filigree snaked through the stone once more, and the long-dry springs bubbled with new water. The royal palace has shaken off the dust of decay, as tall and proud as it was a thousand years prior.

Have you heard the prophecy, hidden beneath all this sand? That history will be written by your hand, the author of an eternal golden age.
