Daedalus Dirigible

A beast appears in the dawn sky, a jumble of steel, brick, and gold. Though wingless, this bird flies with a swan's grace. The glow of her gleaming spires pierces through the gaps in the gloam and fog, heralding the sun about to rise. This roaring creature embodies one of man's oldest dreams, held since proud Icarus first took flight.

Jets of steam settle among the clouds, slowly fading from view like last night's stars. Passing birds flee their featherless new rival, for their domain has become our frontier.
