Story

According to legend, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl are allowed to meet only once each year on Magpie Bridge. Visitors will put lamps styled like lotuses in the lake and pray for the swift return of whoever they are missing. It is said that after a time, the gods came to look upon this place, and may answer prayers made there.
