The meta for your kingdom
A new kingdom and a Season of Conquest kingdom play different games. Pick your stage for the pairings that work with the commanders you can actually get.
1 Before KvK New kingdom, first KvK not started yet Before KvK nobody has much, so cheap legendaries and good epics carry everything and raw tankiness beats fancy synergy. The kingdom is won by whoever builds a solid infantry march and a fast cavalry march first, hits MGE and Ark of Osiris hard, and arrives at KvK 1 with a high city hall, T4/T5 troops and a pile of saved speedups. 2 KvK 1 Lost Kingdom, season 1 First trip to the Lost Kingdom map. Gear is thin, there is no crystal tech, and most of the kingdom still fights with T4, so tanky infantry and cheap AoE nukers carry the season. Whoever shows up on time for pass and altar rallies with one finished pair and a full hospital wins it. 3 KvK 2 Lost Kingdom, season 2 KvK 2 is the first season where formations and armaments are live, and seven new legendaries join the pool. Alexander the Great, Saladin, Charles Martel and Yi Seong-Gye carry most of the fighting, and the kingdoms that win are the ones with organised rallies, solid garrisons and enough healing to keep fighting in the open field. 4 KvK 3 Light and Darkness KvK 3 is the Light and Darkness season, shorter than KvK 2 at about 50 days, and it starts less than a month after KvK 2 ends. The roster is basically the KvK 2 legendaries plus Wu Zetian, with Takeda showing up on the wheel around now, so the winners are kingdoms that maxed YSG, Saladin, Alexander and Edward and defend their buildings well. Guan Yu and the other big SoC names are not here yet. 5 Season of Conquest KvK 4 and later, everything is unlocked Everything is open now: crystal tech, support skills, the full Prime roster and mature armaments. Crystal tech lifts everyone's base stats, so skill damage and a well built formation decide fights far more than raw troop count. Kingdoms that farm crystals hard in the first weeks and fight through the Hall of Heroes window usually win the season.
