KvK 1 meta

First trip to the Lost Kingdom map. Gear is thin, there is no crystal tech, and most of the kingdom still fights with T4, so tanky infantry and cheap AoE nukers carry the season. Whoever shows up on time for pass and altar rallies with one finished pair and a full hospital wins it.

What to do now

  1. 1 Finish one pair first One maxed pair beats three half-built ones. Martel or Richard with Yi Seong-Gye covers field, garrison and rallies, so build that before anything else.
  2. 2 Save universal sculptures for Yi Seong-Gye Spend the Wheel of Fortune and universal legendary sculptures on him. He stays relevant as an archer nuker and secondary well past this season.
  3. 3 Get to T4 and fix the hospital Everything you train should be T4 at minimum. Upgrade hospitals before the map opens so a lost fight turns into wounded, not dead troops.
  4. 4 Stockpile before pre-KvK Turn loose resources into items, and hoard healing speedups, action point potions, teleports and shields. You will burn through all of them in the first two weeks.
  5. 5 Show up for passes and altars Pass and structure captures are scheduled alliance rallies. Set the alarm, join the rally, and stay out of solo hits on enemy cities.
  6. 6 Farm honor every day Barbarians and forts are free honor and Books of Covenant. Keep a cheap barbarian march out whenever you are not fighting.
  7. 7 Keep one march gathering Resources run dry fast once you start healing. A gathering march on the KvK map pays for most of your rebuilding.

Æthelflæd Sun Tzu (Epic) Æthelflæd + Sun Tzu (Epic) Strong AoE for mixed or infantry marches, doubles as a top barbarian and fort pair. El Cid Yi Seong-Gye El Cid + Yi Seong-Gye Highest nuke damage available this season, but squishy, so pick your fights. Minamoto no Yoshitsune Yi Seong-Gye Minamoto no Yoshitsune + Yi Seong-Gye Minamoto skill burst plus Yi Seong-Gye circle, a nuke march for people without Cao Cao. Cao Cao Pelagius Epic Cao Cao + Pelagius Epic Fast cavalry with healing from Pelagius, good at chasing down farmers and stragglers. Minamoto no Yoshitsune Pelagius Epic Minamoto no Yoshitsune + Pelagius Epic Low cost cavalry option with single target burst and rage from Pelagius.

Yi Seong-Gye Hermann Epic Yi Seong-Gye + Hermann Epic Archer pair for players who went archer, Hermann epic adds skill damage cheaply. Richard I Joan of Arc (Epic) Richard I + Joan of Arc (Epic) Very tanky support march, low damage but it holds a line and buffs the alliance around it. Cao Cao Belisarius (Epic) Cao Cao + Belisarius (Epic) Fast farm hunter, picks off gatherers and weak marches on the map. Baibars Pelagius Epic Baibars + Pelagius Epic Free cavalry pair that is fine for picking off gatherers until better cavalry is built.
C Situational
Scipio Africanus (Epic) Sun Tzu (Epic) Scipio Africanus (Epic) + Sun Tzu (Epic) All-epic filler march that still does something when nothing else is free. Æthelflæd Joan of Arc (Epic) Æthelflæd + Joan of Arc (Epic) Support heavy and fragile, better kept on barbarians than in a real fight.
