Admin

Build a kingdom or KvK server: roles, categories, channels and permissions.

What it does

Builds a whole Discord server layout for you: roles with colours, categories, channels and their permissions.

It always shows a preview first. Nothing is created until you press Build. Roles and channels that already exist with the same name are reused.

Undo deletes exactly what the last build created and nothing you made yourself.

When to use it

When you start a new kingdom server, or a matchup server for KvK.

Who can use it

Who

Admins only: members with Administrator, Manage Server or the Bot Admin role.

Where

Any channel the bot can see.

Subcommands

Type the command, then pick one of these. Each has its own options.

/server-builder kingdom

A kingdom server: community, war rooms, a lounge per alliance and an admin area.

  • alliances Required text

    Alliance tags, comma separated. Full names are optional: KOA=Knights of Avalon, ABC.

  • verification Optional True or False

    Screenshot verification channel and how-to.

    Default: On

  • calendar Optional True or False

    Event calendar channel.

    Default: On

  • mge Optional True or False

    MGE application channel.

    Default: On

  • ark Optional True or False

    Ark of Osiris signup, chat and voice.

    Default: On

  • commands Optional True or False

    A bot commands channel with every command allowed.

    Default: On

  • logs Optional True or False

    Use #bot-logs as the bot alert channel.

    Default: On

  • content_feed Optional True or False

    A RoK content channel for creator videos.

    Default: On

  • stat_docks Optional True or False

    Date, time and member count channels at the top.

    Default: Off

  • replace Optional True or False

    Delete your last build first, then build this one.

/server-builder kvk

A KvK matchup server: camp and kingdom roles, camp rooms and a leaders area.

  • map Required pick from a list

    The KvK map.

  • camps Required text

    Camps and kingdoms, for example Fire: 1254 1688; Water: 2310.

  • verify Optional True or False

    Add a how-to-verify channel.

    Default: On

  • cross_kingdom Optional True or False

    Leaders may assign members across their whole camp.

    Default: Off

  • replace Optional True or False

    Delete your last build first, then build this one.

/server-builder undo

Deletes exactly what the last build created, after you confirm.

/server-builder status

The last builds in this server and what is left to set up.

/server-builder docks

Restarts paused stat dock channels.

Examples

Copy one, paste it in Discord and change the values. Under each is what the bot answers.

/server-builder kingdom alliances: KOA, ABC, XYZ

Tips and mistakes

Tips

  • Give the bot Administrator before you build. Without it, the Admin role is created without permissions and you set them yourself.
  • If a build stops halfway, fix the problem and run it again: what already exists is reused.
  • The dashboard has the same builder as a full form with a live preview.

Common mistakes

  • Only one build can run at a time. Wait for it to finish.
  • Undo deletes the channels it made, with their messages. Do it before people start chatting there.
  • Only the last build can be undone.
