Docs Verification

/verification

Admin

Set up screenshot verification: channels, alliance roles and fallback role.

What it does

Opens the verification control panel: switch it on or off, pick up to 10 verification channels, map each alliance tag to a role and pick the verified and fallback roles.

It also controls renaming members to their governor name, deleting non screenshot posts in the channels, and the daily limits.

The panel shows the last 10 attempts and why any was rejected.

When to use it

Once, when you set up the server, and whenever an alliance joins or leaves the kingdom.

Who can use it

Who

Admins only: members with Administrator, Manage Server or the Bot Admin role.

Where

Any channel the bot can see.

Subcommands

Type the command, then pick one of these. Each has its own options.

/verification settings

Opens the verification control panel.

Examples

Copy one, paste it in Discord and change the values. Under each is what the bot answers.

/verification settings

A private panel with the current settings and buttons for channels, alliances, roles and limits.

Tips and mistakes

Tips

  • Fill in the alliance name next to the tag. It rescues a tag that is hard to read on the screenshot.
  • Without a fallback role, members of unknown alliances are rejected. Pick a Guest role if visitors should get in.

Common mistakes

  • Pick the channels first, then switch verification on.
  • The bot needs Manage Roles, a role above the roles it gives, and Manage Nicknames to rename members.

Dashboard setting

Verification

Everything in the panel is also on the Verification page in the Discord Bot tab in your kingdom hub, with a list of recent verifications.
